About mining outside safezones

So I have understood that you always been able to block “public” mines out in the wild with banana trees due to the fact that they can be cut down and that any player can enter that mine.
But it came to my understanding that the “THC”-guild has done an entire “city” with houses and blocked a mine with houses and statues. So they have made that mine entirely there own mine.

I thought the idea of just getting gem ore outside of safezone was so that the crafter actually could be killed by other players and put some extra edge on the game. Now when one guild got a totally safe mine somewhere where others also should be able cant be ok?

In my opinion this is an obvious ABUSE and not playing as others are trying to play the game. If that guild can play that way then we should change it so you can get gem ores in ALL mines.

I hope you are getting my point.

Their mine was “safe” at a start until you reported it to me ingame, i removed parts of their yard directly and since that it havn’t been “safe” with statues. They have a way in that players can access and that’s fair. We do not allow players to make their own “private” mines on this server.

Oh ok thanks for telling me Dreams, its just that those guys were claiming out loud in bank that they were having an even safer mine now after you told them. Thats why I got suspicious.

Atleast did you give em some jail time? 🙂

Can confirm, I have been jailed in the second or third week for 24h… well that’s what it should have been but it turned in to 30-something because there was a bug in the unjail script ironically enough

ive only just started exploring the world map but its pretty crazy how massive these city yards are. a quarter of ice isle is walled off in the south and not to mention that huge conclave just south of the desert near brit. im fine with small yards and stuff but its becoming abit much.

I agree with vwyk.
I personally don’t know why “yards” is a thing anyway.
Mines, beaches and islands are being blocked off.
Vast amount of land is being occupied by only a hand full of players.

Imagine if the server increases in population.
Its going to be a complete mess.

Agreed that crafter whacking is whack. Part of the game though nonetheless.

I do enjoy the idea of there being some kind of karma punishment though. Maybe spec crafters can have a points system given based on their crafter level and fame that punishes the player for killing them? Might be a pain to program but would make it a little more interesting than just sitting ducks.

Also, just a heads up that if you mine sand, you still get Zulu ore, as well as all gems.
