My roommates keep disconnecting my internet and booting me from macroing because they say it is making their phones run slow. I am hard wired through an ethernet chord and they are using the wireless. I am running two clients with razor. Are my roommates full of crap or do they have a real argument? I wanted to ask professionals before i told them they were wrong and that if they keep doing this then im moving.

        Not much..
You can see by opening task manager (windows 10) by pressing ctrl + shift + escape.
In the tab performance you can see the total amount of network traffic if you click on Ethernet. Compare just running UO to browsing and/or watching youtube.

For more details, look around in Resource Monitor at the bottom.
Two clients dont go over 300 Bytes per second for me when macroing

With a bad router bandwidth might not be the only concern tho and keeping it busy with only one client sending/receiving packets all the time can probably interfere with other clients in the worst case.
In my experience number of wifi connected clients is what really affects the stability though, and since you’re wired that shouldn’t make any difference.
Do their connection issues go away right after they disconnect your PC? In that case I’d try another router, because there’s no chance it’s a bandwidth problem.

It’s more likely that it’s a network problem rather than a bandwidth problem. But just to be sure try and run a speedtest to see how much mbit up/down you have. UO doesn’t take much at all (less than 0.1 Mbps per client).
