Cannot see my old thread, looks like it lost its way when I edited… Anyway to reiterate:
Shard’s been up a pretty good while by now, and with the amount of bosses my mates and I have killed I think we can start to make pretty safe assumptions of the rarity of some type of items and modifiers etc.
What we have seen so far that seems to be at a good rarity level imo:
– Higher level prots. Not common by any means but they do exist which is nice 🙂– GM armors, same here. Still no shields though, but since they are not super crucial I don’t mind.
– GM weps. Sure you mostly get the ones you don’t have any use for, but that’s how it should be 😉
– Poisoned weps. These are pretty common, and we’ve seen e bunch of lv6 weps. Lv6 psn on the other hand is pretty bad, ticking at 25 hp, so none of them see much use. We even had a lv6 psn vanq wep in a few weeks, which would be ridiculous if lv6 psn was any good.
– Mage/bard books.
– Stat mods on jewels. Also nice to see that higher level mods drop and not just the lowest tiers. Especially on jewels since they need to be quite high to be worth the jewel slot.
Some items seem very rare though or non-existing so far:
– Stat mods on clothing. I mean sure these are pretty good, and should probably be rare as well. But when you find stat mod clothes it’s a hat or boots 90% of the time. In my opinion stat mods on clothing might be a little bit too good to be this rare, but opinions may very well vary 🙂– Bloody weapons. We had a couple drop the first week with lower tier dmg mods on, since then we’ve seen 0, which is a bit odd. Maybe we used up all our luck back then 🙂 With how hard some bosses hit even spec 5 wars with lv6 melee prot these would be nice to see a bit more frequently.
– Elemental fury weps. Are these even in the loot? Usually it takes a good bunch of them before you find a usable one, and so far in a little over 1 month very active hunting we have seen 0 EF weps. Not even the mandatory 2-handed axe with 4% cast chance.
– Blackrock weps. Another one that so far has shown up a total of 0 times. And I’m not talking in a few dungeon clears either, I think between us me and my mates have killed thousands of bosses and world bosses.
– Void weps. I don’t really know what this mod does tbh, but since it is pretty similar to the previously mentioned two mods I suspect it has a similarly low chance of dropping.
We have also been sensing an increase of really low mods recently. Killing a world boss and seeing a bunch of apprentice/expert stuff and nothing even remotely useful. I suspect that this is due to the high amount of bosses killed together with the increased level of items needed to be useful though, but just a side-note.
December 1, 2017 at 7:31 pm #795NagashAdministratorGreat summary!
You are correct on your estimates. The loot rate is nearly perfect. There are chances of finding good stuff whenever you kill a boss or world boss. But most of the time you will not get anything spectacular. Elemental Fury has been taken out due to it being too overpowered. It would help if more people would share their opinion about the loot. That way we can make some tweaks if need be.December 1, 2017 at 8:36 pm #796imoldgreggMember- Topics - 6

I have found bloody and a few stat mods. I would suggest hunting more. You have found a bunch of items i have not. It does seem like swift of dev is super rare. As it should be. The only thing i am not happy about is that radiant wisp hardly ever drop radiant ore. I thought they should always drop them.
Also it seems like treasure maps are a little under loot. You have to kill more monsters to get less loot.
Overall i think the loot is good.

Not sure what mobs you hunt?
But found bloody and a few stats mods and you try tellings us to hunt more?
Im quite positive my guild hunt the must in the game. The loot is kinda good, swift deva is rare, but not that rare. Books drop quite frequently.
Treasure maps are not under loot imo, i got like 500 lvl5 tmaps and 200 lvl6 tmaps (it drops almost TOO MUCH 🙂
But stygian for me seems really really hard to get, and imo its a bigger chance of statmods dropping of umbral flickers and black wisps which Im not a fan of.
For me it should be the same chance for statmods dropping of bossed, and im quite sure i looted and killed more bosses than flickers/wisps, but found stat mods on flickers/wisps. Not sure about how the lootlevel are on this though?

I think with tmaps, you kill more mobs to get the same amount of loot. The frequency of maps dropping is no problem.

EF is not in, all right makes sense, since I learned recently it passes through prots which is kind of silly 😛
Blackrock tho, is that in? The same argument could kind of be applied there I think 🙂As for bloody, it is kind of similar to dmg mods. Sure you can find a devastation wep, but 99 out of 100 will suck anyway. So finding (I think) 2 bloody in total in several thousand boss kills (that is not an exaggeration either) does not motivate me to “hunt more” to find a decent one, tbh. I’m just stating my opinion, it’s not the end of the world.
In my opinion, in a game with full loot, it’s a balance between having interesting and powerful items, and not having some items be worth so damn much that you feel like quitting if you lose em 🙂
