So, I noticed that (for example) Balrog boots give me a 2% magic bonus on both mage and ranger.
However, on Ranger, I get additional bonus if I wear gloves, hat and presumably more pieces, 2% per piece.
Mage does not get this..
In fact, mage only gets the bonus from boots. No magic bonus from head/gloves etc.
Is this as intended?
I always figured this was to keep down mages’ magic eff a bit. You get +15 from nagash’s staff of sorcery and I think it’s +20 from sage’s robe.
Silver dragon hides I believe give you +3 on feet as well.
The magic efficiency bonus and loss was removed for mages to allow them to wear leather to give them some survivability. I will however confirm that it wasn’t intended to remove the bonus, but it seem to be good solution anyway since the big bonus from Nagash gm staff.
Therefor it will stay like this for now, thanks for reporting these stuff anyway. Never know when we miss something like this!
Cool, thanks for the feedback Dreams.
Yeah, the bonus on Nagash’s staff and Sage’s robe are quite nice. Now to find them..
Thanks for the silver dragon tip, I’ll look into that. I fortified my hat, but didn’t realize it would give me -3%, so I have some catching up to do.
