Rarity of tomes

Maybe the rarity of tomes is a bit harsh?

Between the randomness in finding a decent skill (yay another Herding tome!) and the ever present risk of failing them and gaining absolutely nothing but a bad mood, finding them about as often as magic books (song, earth, necro etc) seems a tad bit low. 😀

I understand these are not meant to let you cap out lv6 base in a couple of months, but at the rate I’m seeing them right now I don’t even feel like looking for them, while I wish I would.

As an anecdotal example I have increased my caps by a grand total of 5 so far. Granted I don’t hunt very much but I also have more active friends that would share tomes with me. Unless my luck turns around I’m looking at maybe reaching lv6 with items by 2019 holidays 😀 That’s just speculating though since I have absolutely no idea what the fail rate of tomes is above 130 cap.

Interested in hearing other peoples opinions and experiences on this.

+1 , tomes is way too rare due to the fact they fail 80% of the times (what ive heard).

Well just for me i took 5 tome for mage they all gaved me +5 and we found a lot more tome than books … or you dont hunt enough or you are really not lucky guys… maybe its karma😊

They have higher risk of failing the higher your cap is, at 130 it’s not too bad, but I have failed a couple on my crafter still. At 135 I’ve only used 1 tome and failed, dunno how the chances are from there.

5 successful tomes is nice, especially if several was for the same skill. Idk, granted I don’t hunt much right now, but when I’ve put in hours and hours during a day to clear most bosses over and over to end up with 0 tomes it’s just been disheartening.

“you don’t hunt enough” can be said regardless of what the feedback on the loot level is, but is still a valid opinion ofc. If I take the amount of loot we have hauled in and put the number of tomes it sounds like you guys find in relation to us it must mean you have killed a ridiculous amount of bosses. In my opinion that’s still a bit low rate. But if no one else has any problems with it I guess it makes sense, cannot satisfy everyone simultaneously 🙂

Zemeckis, when did you find those tomes?
And are you even aware of that the chance of them working is being lowered the higher cap you got?

And stop with that “you dont hunt enough”-argument. Both you and me know that thats is bullshit. But I guess you got the data for tomes and you dont see any point with it the “tome-loot” being really low.

Zemeckis, it feels like you dont really know how loot usually looks like, you giving like nothing to evolve the discussion.

So what, you guys found like 20 tomes?
Which is nice, but not close to good. Due to the fact them being rare to even work when you got 135 in cap already.
So yes they are rare, we found like 15-20 tomes, close to how many books we have found.

Im not really sure you understand how to measure data at all, I could be wrong but you really dont contribute to the discussion.
