Tomorrow at 18:00 UTC there will be a 1v1 tournament with a grand prize of 120k gold. The tournament will be held in the arena.
Winner of tournament will be given 120k gold and be deemed champion of the server, and earns his place to defend his title at the next tournament.
If you would like to add to the tournament purse please speak to Fjord in the non-official discord.
This is not a staff event, but it would be nice to have staff announcement.
Good to see that the community is getting together and organize events. We will be assisting as well and adding an event reward for the winner! Announcements will be made as well.
Tournament went well, Loki was the winner.
Some things for next week:
* Loki will face the next opponent
* Pets are allowed, both mounted and not.
* Given bag of limited number of fish and or potions
* You may be given a bless from anyone of your choice prior to match
I mean if someone has a brock weapon and their opponents do not seems pretty one sided. I would either say no dispells or no buffs prior to matches.
No buffs prior seems adequate, that puts everyone on a somewhat equal footing (and bonus stats from items become comparatively more important). Otherwise, the one with access to the best mage gets an unfair advantage. A pre-determined bag of goodies (buff fish, potions, etc) is also a good idea. Perhaps some limitation on blackrock weapons, if present.
10 bandages limit for warriors should be more than enough 😀
No hiding for thieves like
I think all skill/rules/abilities that would available in the wild should be available in the tournament.
Reason being is so that any imbalances can be easier spotted and addressed.
Not only using the tournament for fun but also as a type of “class stress test”.
I would like to see pillars or something in the tournament ring tho, for line of sighting.
