Hello Guy’s

I and probably the rest of the player’s on shard want to know what’s happening with the shard. Like Why in 3 weeks the player online declined to 20 player’s online? I need to know if you dev still take some time for the shard. Cause it don’t looks like. No Gm’s answered to my question since 2 weeks. No event, no tournaments nothing happens, no player’s to make any PVP all the Boss are too easy to kill it’s always the sames bosses, the world have to be more spawned …It looks like you guys just deserted the shard…

You got a good potential game and could be nice to have back people to stay more then 3 months.

I’m waiting for explanations.

As time passes people will have less reason to macro and stay online 24/7 which will make online count decline. Also people lose interest or just play less which I think is the main reason of the current low numbers.

Events or tournaments could probably bring people back online but mostly for a short time at this stage I think. What’s needed for people to log in and stay online is something meaningful and fun to do long-term, which naturally is harder and harder to achieve as the shard gets older.

Do you have any ideas for how to motivate people to log on?

Also it’s been 6 months, not 3. I’m personally quite impressed with how stable and non-corrupt the shard has stayed for this long for only 2-3 devs with limited time.

I know my opinions are somewhat unpopular, but I still believe there needs to be some natural progression.
A Newbie Zone and enough starting gold to buy a set of armour/weapons might help people progress without begging/asking for help.

Lonewolf hit the nail on the head. That’s basically how it goes. Zuluhotel always has been a sandbox game. The reason why most shards are active is because of the active community. Without an active participation of players the shard will become dull and slowly die out. Doing staff events will only help for so long. We do intend to add some automated events at some point.

People nowadays see Ultima Online just as a secondary game. Play your main game while macroing your Ultima Online character on the side. Once that’s done you just play occasionally and when that gets boring you stop. Hence the low player count.

@Sparks: I will add some new player starting money. New players will now start with 1000 gold instead of 100. Britain is considered a newbie zone. After that you can head for Minoc.

Thanks for the Infos, but i played on a Zulu shard opened for 15 years and it,s only this year people declined… it can be for sure a game #1 but we have to find out what’s the player’s want…

I also owned a shard i think we have to follow the wave on what players want to have in game!

Be more present and more seen prove that the shard got Interest for the Dev’s

Ye shard is up, around 30-40 players online at the most nowadays, was 90-100 before but macroing is done for the most players.
Some of us are geared and waiting for some exciting pvp, hopefully see u on the shard!

So I’m new to this shard and I must admit… it was pretty tough to find this shard, and I knew what I was looking for.

In my opinion, advertise more – MyBroadband, Facebook whatever.

Secondly, I don’t think having more starting gold is the target here… I’ve started a crafter and after day 2 used up my gold. If you learn to play the game the way it’s supposed to be, I guess you won’t really need a lot of help. It just takes longer to get you going.

Thirdly, my preference stays in items and the “hunt”. Items needs to be updated regularly – new items brought in, perhaps get “full set” stats, gm items etc. “Hunt” referring to both quests and quest creatures etc BUT also, when last did anyone bother with a treasure map? It used to be quite fun on the older shards. Make them tough enough as you go higher on the level maps.

Anyway, my rant for the day 🙂
