Did you IP ban whole brazil? If so, why? And might you consider unbanning them to get more players?

Yeah, I decided to do that the moment they started threatening to DDoS (which was like a week or so after the shard started) and ignore the rules. They don’t respond to authority as well as the rest of us for some reason. Figured i’d safe myself the hassle and just block the whole country and be done with it. If you guys want them back I would be willing to reconsider it though.

I feel like we need to do something drastic to keep the server alive. Also maybe regular wipes of the server is something to consider. Kinda like in diablo 2 where they start over the ladders from time to time. Because soon we have all maxed every character, gotten every item already. Maybe try making the classes more balanced every time aswell.

If you’re accusing us of breaking the rules, then present the evidence here and write down exactly what points we’re breaking. I consider it slander and violation of ethical rules

br’s have that reputation for a reason, it’s really nice not having 800 million jerks around. bradley of chaotic realm was really smart though, he made so much money off of them through his donator model… and then spent it all on oxycontin lol

Personally I think that the Russians found a loophole in how to abuse the system and it resulted in a few crafters losing Xarafax’s and top tier crafting items and they just get off scot-free? I am sure the items can’t be tracked and deleted but they have since resold/traded the items that they got from abusing the system. I think there should be some sort of punishment for these actions, some jail time or something. I know people have argued with me about it but hey if it happened to you I’m sure you’d be unhappy as well.

      Thanks

i would be very unhappy if it were me BUT they didnt break any rules.
      so make it a rule…
“no using strong boxes or other mechanics to lure people out of safe zones while macroing”
then when its done again, it would be breaking a rule

razor can be made to take screenshots upon deaath (does easyuo?)
then they would have evidence in the form of screenshot of the moment of death and a screen shot of the journal

Sure, fair enough. They abused a game mechanic in such a way to fuck over a good amount of crafters in a safe zone. Still some shady shit, this isn’t the way I like to enjoy UO. (:

Just make it a rule interfering with someone or attempting to interfere with someone in a safe zone in anyway is against the rules. Violation result in immediate wipe of accounts on that ip.

“Safe zone” implies that it should be considered a safe zone. Allowing people to box you out while macroing isn’t what I would consider “safe”, in any sense of the word.

      So…brazil’s ip is really blocked?
That’s kinda sad. I was really looking for a ZH server to play for the sake of old days of ZHC…
Is it too much to ask for unlocking the region?

I think the biggest reason was because the threatened the shard with DDOS attacks. Doesn’t seem like a good idea, if something goes wrong for them in game they may try and hack the whole sever and take the shard down.

or just block the russian IP range because it seems like they are already starting their hacking bs.
